How to Create a Historical Filing

The process of submitting a historical filing is the same as filing a UCC1, but without the cost and the actual submission to the state filing office. The purpose of submitting a historical filing is to take advantage of our alert system to let you know when your lapse dates are. For instance, let’s say you’ve filed a UCC elsewhere, but now you want to use our online system to manage your portfolio. Simply ‘re-file’ that UCC with our online system as a historical filing, at no charge, and you will be able to take advantage of our UCC portfolio management and alert functionality.

Begin by creating a normal UCC1. When you get to the Finish Up page below, press Submit Historical Filing.
